Freedman Seating Is Back On The Road With ‘Transit USA Tour'
Featuring the latest seating and transit-related products with safety and maintenance in mind.
Chicago, IL – Hot off the trail of last year’s 105-day, 20,000-mile ‘Rock N Rose’ tour, Freedman Seating is gearing up for the 2017 Transit USA Tour. A team of dedicated sales managers will be traveling across the US in a 2017 Ford™ Transit Wagon promoting the latest seating products with safety, comfort and maintenance at the forefront.
The Transit USA Tour kicks off mid-January in Elkhart, Indiana and makes its way to major OEMs, bus dealers, operators, and agencies across at least 40 states. The transit van will be displayed at various industry events and trade shows along the route.
Dave Rose will lead the second van tour with support from FSC’s dedicated and highly knowledgeable team of regional sales managers: Mike Beierschmitt, Jack Sullivan, Tamara Hobgood, and Bruce Amsterdam.
“This is a perfect opportunity to showcase new designs and safety features we’ve made standard across our product lines,” said Dan Cohen, President. “We want influencers and people throughout the transit industry to sit in our seats and experience the product just as their customers would,” he added.
The transit van is fitted with SmartFloor™ technology, a patented floor system available exclusively from TransitWorks that allows easy and quick moving of seats and wheelchair positions nearly anywhere within the van. Topping the innovative floor system is Altro’s Transflor. This highly resilient and durable vinyl floor features a quality wear layer, incorporating silicon carbide and aluminum oxide grains for slip resistance, enhancing passenger safety
A collection of transit-style passenger and driver seats will be fitted to the SmartFloor’s innovative seat bases, including:
